Pan Fried Cube Steak

On Sunday I stumbled upon a package of 4 small cubed steaks at Safeway for only $5 and remembered seeing a Pan Fried Steak recipe online and brought the steaks home. The recipe is very simple, all you need is the following ingredients. (I'm sad I haven't cooked Cubed Steak before, it's all the greatness of steak without all the toughness, it also cooks quickly!)

Serves 2

1 Pound Cubed Steak
3/4 Cup of AP Flour
1 TSP of Montreal Steak Seasoning plus a little more
2 TBSP Butter
1/4 Cup Oil to cover surface of your pan

This stuff is good! I also LOVE the Montreal Chicken Seasoning!

Mix your flour and steak seasoning in a large plate. Lightly season your steaks with seasoning and then dip each steak in flour patting each side with a fork as to fully drench the steak.

Heat up a skillet with oil to medium high heat. Once heated, add butter, the butter will immediately start to sizzle.

 Watch me Sizzle!

Once your butter is melted and everything is nice and hot, add your steaks!

Cook each side 5-7 minutes turning until blood no longer seaps through.

Once done, remove from pan and place a paper towel on a plate and lay out the steaks on the plate and let the oil drain onto the paper towel.

Now serve! I served these with a packet of Jasmine rice and Veggie steamers!

You can also serve in between a couple slices of crispy sourdough bread with Mayo, Lettuce and Tomato! These steaks are wonderfully soft and would work great in a Sourdough burger ;) Why Sourdough? Because few things in life are better than warm toasty sourdough.

Enjoy!
